The outcome depends directly on official NBA announcements, with consensus reporting permitted as an alternate source. Early resolution to No occurs as soon as the team is officially eliminated from championship contention during the 2026-27 season. If the season is cancelled or fails to declare a champion by June 30, 2027, at 11:59 PM ET, the market resolves to Other rather than Yes or No. A tie-breaking rule awards resolution alphabetically if multiple champions are declared. The resolution conditions are clear, follow standard sports milestones, and present minimal surprise.

Resolution rules

This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed team is determined as the champion of the NBA for the 2026-27 season. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed team to be named as the champion of NBA for the 2026-27 season per the rules of NBA (e.g., participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If multiple teams are declared winners, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If this event is cancelled, postponed after June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a champion has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official information from the NBA: however a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Market explained

This market measures whether the Phoenix Suns will win the 2026-27 NBA championship. It includes specific provisions for alphabetical tie-breaking if multiple winners are declared, as well as resolution to Other if the season is not completed by late June 2027.

How it resolves

The market resolves to Yes if the Phoenix Suns are determined as the NBA champion for the 2026-27 season. If multiple teams are declared winners, resolution favors the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. The market resolves to No if the team does not win or is eliminated such that it becomes impossible for them to be named champion. The market resolves to Other if the event is cancelled, postponed beyond June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or if no champion is declared by that time. The resolution source is official information from the NBA, or a consensus of credible reporting.
