Gotcha risk — resolution-rule assessment
Show less
This market resolves based on whether the Chicago Bulls win the 2026-27 NBA Championship, drawing primarily from official NBA announcements with a fallback to credible reporting consensus. Participants should note the early resolution clause, which allows the market to settle to "No" immediately once the team is mathematically or officially eliminated from contention. Additionally, there is an explicit deadline of June 30, 2027, at 11:59 PM ET, after which any postponement, cancellation, or failure to declare a champion resolves the market to "Other." An unconventional alphabetical tie-breaker exists if multiple winners are named, though this is standard contractual fallback text and highly unlikely in practice.

Resolution rules
This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed team is determined as the champion of the NBA for the 2026-27 season. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed team to be named as the champion of NBA for the 2026-27 season per the rules of NBA (e.g., participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If multiple teams are declared winners, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If this event is cancelled, postponed after June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a champion has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official information from the NBA: however a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Market explained
This market measures whether the Chicago Bulls will win the 2026-27 NBA championship. Resolution includes a tiebreaker rule favoring alphabetical order if multiple champions are declared, and a cutoff date that triggers an "Other" resolution if no champion is crowned in time.
How it resolves
The market resolves to Yes if the Chicago Bulls are determined as the NBA champion for the 2026-27 season. If multiple teams are declared winners, resolution favors the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. The market resolves to No if the team is not champion or if it becomes impossible for them to win, such as through elimination. The market resolves to Other if the event is cancelled, postponed past the deadline, or if no champion is declared by June 30, 2027, at 11:59 PM ET. Resolution is determined using official information from the NBA, or a consensus of credible reporting.
