The outcome is clearly defined by whether the listed team wins the 2026-27 NBA championship. The market allows early resolution to No as soon as the team is officially eliminated from contention. Primary resolution relies on official information from the NBA, with consensus reporting allowed as a backup. A hard deadline of June 30, 2027, at 11:59 PM ET applies; if the season is delayed beyond this point without a declared champion, the market resolves to Other rather than waiting. There is also an unusual clause stating that if multiple champions are declared, resolution favors whichever team is first alphabetically.

Resolution rules
This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed team is determined as the champion of the NBA for the 2026-27 season. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed team to be named as the champion of NBA for the 2026-27 season per the rules of NBA (e.g., participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If multiple teams are declared winners, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If this event is cancelled, postponed after June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a champion has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official information from the NBA: however a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Market explained
This market measures whether the New Orleans Pelicans will win the NBA championship for the 2026-27 season. If multiple teams are declared champions, resolution favors the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
How it resolves
The market resolves to Yes if the New Orleans Pelicans are determined as the NBA champion for the 2026-27 season, or if multiple teams are declared champions and their name comes first alphabetically. The market resolves to No if another team wins, or as soon as it becomes impossible for the Pelicans to win the championship under NBA rules, such as elimination. The market resolves to Other if the event is cancelled, postponed past June 30, 2027, at 11:59 PM ET, or if no champion is declared by that time.
