The market relies primarily on official NBA announcements to determine the champion of the 2026-27 season, with credible reporting permitted as a backup. The rules allow early resolution to No as soon as the team is officially eliminated from contention. If the season is cancelled, delayed past June 30, 2027, or no champion is determined by that deadline, the market will resolve to Other rather than Yes or No. An alphabetical tie-breaker is included in the event of multiple declared winners. The core outcome condition is clear and directly aligned with the final outcome of the sporting event.

Resolution rules
This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed team is determined as the champion of the NBA for the 2026-27 season. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed team to be named as the champion of NBA for the 2026-27 season per the rules of NBA (e.g., participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If multiple teams are declared winners, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If this event is cancelled, postponed after June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a champion has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official information from the NBA: however a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Market explained
This market measures whether the Los Angeles Lakers will win the NBA championship for the 2026-27 season. An unusual resolution condition resolves the market to the first team alphabetically if multiple teams are declared co-champions.
How it resolves
The market resolves to Yes if the Los Angeles Lakers are determined as the NBA champion for the 2026-27 season. If multiple teams are declared champions, resolution favors the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. The market resolves to No if the Lakers do not win or if it becomes impossible for them to win per NBA rules, such as elimination. The market resolves to Other if the event is cancelled, postponed past June 30, 2027, at 11:59 PM ET, or if no champion is declared by that time. Official information from the NBA or a consensus of credible reporting decides the outcome.
