The resolution condition is straightforward and aligns with the official outcome of the 2026-27 NBA championship. Resolution relies primarily on official NBA information, though secondary recourse to credible reporting consensus is permitted. Participants should note the early resolution clause, which allows the market to resolve to No as soon as the team is mathematically eliminated or knocked out of contention. Additionally, if the season is delayed or no champion is crowned before the strict June 30, 2027 deadline, the market resolves to a separate Other outcome rather than waiting for a later conclusion.

Resolution rules
This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed team is determined as the champion of the NBA for the 2026-27 season. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed team to be named as the champion of NBA for the 2026-27 season per the rules of NBA (e.g., participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If multiple teams are declared winners, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If this event is cancelled, postponed after June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a champion has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official information from the NBA: however a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Market explained
This market measures whether the Washington Wizards will win the 2026–27 NBA championship. It includes specific resolution contingencies for alphabetical tie-breaking among multiple winners and an 'Other' outcome if the season is delayed past a June 2027 cutoff.
How it resolves
The market resolves to Yes if the Washington Wizards are determined as the champion of the NBA for the 2026-27 season. If multiple teams are declared winners, resolution favors the team whose name comes first alphabetically. The market resolves to No if another team wins or if it becomes impossible for the Wizards to be named champion per NBA rules, such as being eliminated. The market resolves to Other if the event is cancelled, postponed after June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or if no champion is declared by that time. Resolution is decided using official information from the NBA, or a consensus of credible reporting.
