The resolution criteria are straightforward, resolving positively if the Philadelphia 76ers win the 2026-27 NBA championship and negatively otherwise. Early resolution to 'No' is triggered as soon as the team is officially eliminated. Participants should note the hard cutoff of June 30, 2027, at 11:59 PM ET, after which an uncompleted season resolves to 'Other' rather than waiting indefinitely. While official NBA announcements serve as the primary decider, the rules permit falling back on a consensus of credible reporting if necessary.

Resolution rules

This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed team is determined as the champion of the NBA for the 2026-27 season. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed team to be named as the champion of NBA for the 2026-27 season per the rules of NBA (e.g., participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If multiple teams are declared winners, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If this event is cancelled, postponed after June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a champion has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official information from the NBA: however a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Market explained

This market measures whether the Philadelphia 76ers will be determined as the NBA champion for the 2026-27 season. An unusual condition resolves the market in alphabetical order if multiple champions are declared.

How it resolves

The market resolves to Yes if the Philadelphia 76ers are determined as the champion of the NBA for the 2026-27 season. If multiple teams are declared winners, resolution favors the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. The market resolves to No if the team is not crowned champion or if it becomes impossible to win (such as being eliminated). The market resolves to Other if the event is cancelled, postponed past June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or if no champion is declared by that cutoff. The resolution source is official information from the NBA, though a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
