The resolution criteria clearly align with whether the Orlando Magic win the 2026-27 NBA Championship. The rules allow early resolution to No as soon as the team is mathematically eliminated from contention. A specific cutoff of June 30, 2027, is established, after which any delay or cancellation results in a resolution to Other rather than Yes or No. Official NBA information serves as the primary basis for resolution, with a consensus of credible reporting permitted as a backup. There is also an unusual alphabetical tiebreaker clause if multiple champions are declared, though the likelihood of this in an NBA season is negligible.

Resolution rules

This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed team is determined as the champion of the NBA for the 2026-27 season. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed team to be named as the champion of NBA for the 2026-27 season per the rules of NBA (e.g., participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If multiple teams are declared winners, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If this event is cancelled, postponed after June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a champion has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official information from the NBA: however a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Market explained

This market measures whether the Orlando Magic win the NBA championship for the 2026-27 season. The market features specific contingencies for multiple declared winners based on alphabetical order, as well as a resolution to Other if the season is delayed past June 30, 2027.

How it resolves

The market resolves to Yes if the Orlando Magic is determined as the champion of the NBA for the 2026-27 season. If multiple teams are declared winners, resolution favors the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. The market resolves to No if the team does not win or if it becomes impossible for them to be named champion, such as upon elimination. The market resolves to Other if the event is cancelled, postponed beyond June 30, 2027, at 11:59 PM ET, or if a champion has not been declared by that time. The resolution source is official information from the NBA, though a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
