The outcome is clearly tied to official NBA championship results for the 2026–27 season, with consensus reporting serving as a secondary source. Holders should be aware of standard early resolution mechanics: the market can resolve to No immediately if the team is mathematically eliminated from title contention before the Finals conclude. There is also a specific cutoff date of June 30, 2027, after which an incomplete or cancelled season resolves to Other, as well as an alphabetical tie-breaker if multiple champions were ever declared.

Resolution rules

This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed team is determined as the champion of the NBA for the 2026-27 season. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed team to be named as the champion of NBA for the 2026-27 season per the rules of NBA (e.g., participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If multiple teams are declared winners, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If this event is cancelled, postponed after June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a champion has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official information from the NBA: however a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Market explained

This market measures whether the New York Knicks win the NBA Championship for the 2026–27 season. An unusual condition resolves the market in favor of the alphabetically first team if multiple champions are named, and resolves to Other if no champion is declared by late June 2027.

How it resolves

The market resolves to Yes if the New York Knicks are determined as the champion of the NBA for the 2026–27 season. If multiple teams are declared champions, resolution favors the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. The market resolves to No if the Knicks do not win or if it becomes impossible for them to win, such as upon elimination. The market resolves to Other if the event is cancelled, postponed past June 30, 2027, at 11:59 PM ET, or if no champion has been declared by that deadline. Resolution is decided by official NBA information, with a consensus of credible reporting also permitted.
