This market follows clear and objective sporting criteria, resolving based on official information from the NBA regarding the 2026-27 championship winner. Participants should note that the market can resolve early to a negative outcome as soon as the team is mathematically eliminated or unable to win under league rules. Additionally, if the season is delayed past the hard deadline of June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET without a champion crowned, the market resolves to a separate outcome rather than waiting for conclusion.

Resolution rules
This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed team is determined as the champion of the NBA for the 2026-27 season. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed team to be named as the champion of NBA for the 2026-27 season per the rules of NBA (e.g., participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If multiple teams are declared winners, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If this event is cancelled, postponed after June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a champion has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official information from the NBA: however a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Market explained

How it resolves
The market resolves to Yes if the Detroit Pistons are determined as the NBA champion for the 2026-27 season. If multiple teams are declared champions, resolution favors whichever listed team comes first alphabetically. The market resolves to No if the team does not win the title or if it becomes impossible for them to win per NBA rules, such as being eliminated. The market resolves to Other if the event is cancelled, postponed past June 30, 2027 at 11:59 PM ET, or if no champion is declared by that deadline. Resolution is decided using official information from the NBA, though a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
