The resolution criteria clearly align with whether the Cleveland Cavaliers are officially crowned NBA champions for the 2026-27 season. Resolution relies primarily on official NBA information. Participants should note the early resolution mechanic, which triggers a resolution to No as soon as the team is mathematically or competitively eliminated from championship contention. Additionally, there is a hard deadline of June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, after which the market resolves to Other if no champion has been determined, alongside an unconventional alphabetical tie-breaker rule if multiple champions were ever declared.

Resolution rules
This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed team is determined as the champion of the NBA for the 2026-27 season. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed team to be named as the champion of NBA for the 2026-27 season per the rules of NBA (e.g., participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If multiple teams are declared winners, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If this event is cancelled, postponed after June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a champion has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official information from the NBA: however a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Market explained
This market measures whether the Cleveland Cavaliers will win the NBA championship for the 2026–27 season. It features an alphabetical tiebreaker rule if multiple champions are declared.
How it resolves
The market resolves to Yes if the Cleveland Cavaliers are determined as the NBA champion for the 2026–27 season. If multiple teams are declared winners, resolution favors the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. The market resolves to No if the team is not the champion, or if it becomes impossible for them to win per NBA rules, such as elimination. The market resolves to Other if the event is cancelled, postponed past June 30, 2027, at 11:59 PM ET, or if no champion is declared by that time. The deciding source is official information from the NBA, though a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
