About this event
This event tracks the outcome of the next Taipei Mayoral election scheduled for November 28, 2026. Markets measure which candidate will win the election and become the next Mayor of Taipei.
How the outcomes relate
Each market represents an individual candidate. Because the event resolves according to the single candidate who becomes the next Mayor of Taipei as a result of the election, at most one market can resolve Yes.
How it resolves
A candidate's market resolves Yes if they become the next Mayor of Taipei as a result of the Taiwanese local elections. Temporary, interim, or placeholder Mayors appointed before the election are not considered. If the election result is not known or no candidate is elected by June 30, 2027, at 11:59 PM ET, the market resolves to "Other". Resolution relies on a consensus of credible reporting, or solely on official results from the Taiwanese government (Central Election Commission) if ambiguity arises.
