The rules clearly specify the conditions required to count as the next Prime Minister, explicitly mandating both a vote of confidence from the Congress of Deputies and a formal swearing-in. Interim or caretaker leaders who lack a parliamentary vote of confidence are explicitly excluded, preventing edge-case ambiguity. The primary resolution relies on official government sources, though secondary reliance on credible reporting introduces minor discretion. A fixed cutoff date resolves clearly to Other if no qualifying individual takes office.

The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the Government of Spain; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
