The outcome depends directly on the official champion of the 2026-27 NHL season as determined by the league. Early resolution to No will occur as soon as the team is mathematically eliminated or otherwise cannot win the championship under league rules. If the season is cancelled or delayed past June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET without a champion declared, the market resolves to Other rather than Yes or No. Official NHL reporting serves as the primary resolution authority, with general credible reporting available if needed.

Resolution rules
This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed team is determined as the champion of the NHL for the 2026-27 season. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to be named as the champion of NHL for the 2026-27 season per the rules of NHL (e.g., participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If multiple teams are declared winners, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If this event is cancelled, postponed after June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a champion has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official information from the NHL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Market explained
This market measures whether the New York Islanders will win the 2026-27 NHL Stanley Cup Championship. The rules include an 'Other' resolution if the season is cancelled or if no champion is declared by June 30, 2027.
How it resolves
The market resolves to Yes if the New York Islanders are determined as the champion of the NHL for the 2026-27 season. If multiple teams are declared winners, resolution favors the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. The market resolves to No if the Islanders are eliminated or if it becomes impossible for them to be named champion per NHL rules. The market resolves to Other if the event is cancelled, postponed after June 30, 2027, at 11:59 PM ET, or if no champion is declared by that deadline. Official information from the NHL decides the outcome, though a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
