Gotcha risk — resolution-rule assessment
Show less
The market establishes clear resolution criteria tied directly to the Boston Bruins winning the 2026-27 NHL championship, using official NHL information as the primary source with credible reporting as a backup. Resolution can occur early to a negative outcome as soon as the team is officially eliminated from championship contention. If the season is cancelled, extended past June 30, 2027, or fails to crown a champion by that cutoff, the market resolves to an alternative outcome rather than a standard negative result. An alphabetical tie-breaker rule is also specified if multiple champions are declared.

Resolution rules
This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed team is determined as the champion of the NHL for the 2026-27 season. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to be named as the champion of NHL for the 2026-27 season per the rules of NHL (e.g., participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If multiple teams are declared winners, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If this event is cancelled, postponed after June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a champion has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official information from the NHL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Market explained

How it resolves
The market resolves to Yes if the Boston Bruins are determined as the NHL champion for the 2026-27 season. If multiple teams are declared winners, resolution favors the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. The market resolves to No if the team does not win, or as soon as it becomes impossible for the team to be named champion per NHL rules (such as elimination). The market resolves to Other if the event is cancelled, postponed past June 30, 2027, at 11:59 PM ET, or if a champion is not declared within that timeframe.
