The market resolves based on the official champion crowned by the NHL for the 2026-27 season. The rules include an early resolution clause allowing the market to settle to No as soon as the team is mathematically eliminated from contention. Additionally, if the season is cancelled or unresolved past June 30, 2027, the market is specified to resolve to Other rather than Yes or No. The primary source is official league information, with standard backup reporting permitted if necessary.

Resolution rules

This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed team is determined as the champion of the NHL for the 2026-27 season. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to be named as the champion of NHL for the 2026-27 season per the rules of NHL (e.g., participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If multiple teams are declared winners, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If this event is cancelled, postponed after June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a champion has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official information from the NHL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Market explained

This market measures whether the New Jersey Devils will win the 2026-27 NHL Stanley Cup championship. An unusual aspect is that an alphabetical tiebreaker applies if multiple winners are declared, and the market resolves to Other if no champion is crowned by the specified cutoff date.

How it resolves

The market resolves to Yes if the New Jersey Devils are determined as the champion of the NHL for the 2026-27 season. If multiple teams are declared winners, resolution favors the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. The market resolves to No if the Devils do not win the championship, or if it becomes impossible for them to be named champion per NHL rules, such as being eliminated. The market resolves to Other if the event is cancelled, postponed past June 30, 2027, at 11:59 PM ET, or if a champion is not declared by that time. Official information from the NHL decides the outcome, though a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
