The outcome is clearly defined and hinges on official NHL results for the 2026-27 season, with consensus reporting available as a secondary reference. Participants should note the early resolution provision, which allows the market to settle to No as soon as the team is officially eliminated from championship contention prior to the end of the season. Additionally, the rules include an unusual alphabetical tie-break clause if multiple champions are declared, and set a hard cutoff date of June 30, 2027, resolving to Other if the season is canceled, delayed past that point, or leaves no champion declared.

Resolution rules
This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed team is determined as the champion of the NHL for the 2026-27 season. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to be named as the champion of NHL for the 2026-27 season per the rules of NHL (e.g., participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If multiple teams are declared winners, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If this event is cancelled, postponed after June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a champion has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official information from the NHL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
