The market aims to identify who becomes the Senate Majority Leader following the November 2026 general election, but it relies on vague resolution mechanics. The rules state it resolves based on the first 'announcement' without naming an authoritative resolution source, such as official Senate records or specific media outlets. Furthermore, there is a minor timing tension: the text states the market will remain open until January 3, 2027, to resolve on the first announcement, but later specifies a fallback deadline of June 30, 2027, if no majority or leader is established. If leadership internal elections or announcements occur before January 3, 2027, the exact trigger date depends on interpreting whether 'remain open until' delays resolution or sets a hard evaluation point.
