Gotcha risk — resolution-rule assessment
Show less
The title asks if a specific individual will be the next Premier, but the rules tie resolution specifically to the outcome of the 2026 general election rather than just the immediate next person to hold the office. If a leadership change occurs before the scheduled election, or if the current premier steps down and someone else takes office prior to the election, that transition would not trigger resolution under these terms. The rules also require a formal swearing-in following the election and explicitly exclude interim or caretaker premiers. Additionally, if no premier is appointed by June 30, 2027, the market resolves to 'Other', and the decider may rely on a consensus of credible reporting alongside official government announcements.
