Gotcha risk — resolution-rule assessment

Show full assessmentShow less

The question is phrased as a binary yes-or-no proposition about Jalen Hurts, but the resolution text is drafted like a multi-choice market that resolves to the winning player's name or 'Other'. In the event of co-MVPs being named, the rules enforce an alphabetical tie-breaker by last name rather than splitting the outcome or resolving yes for both. Official NFL announcements serve as the primary decider, though the rules also permit falling back on a consensus of credible reporting. A clear cutoff date of February 28, 2027, provides a defined resolution window if the season is disrupted.

Resolution rules

This market will resolve to the player who wins the 2026 NFL Most Valuable Player award for the 2026-27 NFL season. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by NFL rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026-27 NFL season is cancelled, postponed after February 28, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NFL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

How it resolves

The market resolves Yes if Jalen Hurts is officially named the winner of the 2026 NFL Most Valuable Player award for the 2026-27 NFL season.
