This market resolves on the party affiliation of the candidate winning Kansas's 4th Congressional District in the 2026 midterm elections. The primary resolution relies on a consensus of credible reporting, which involves some judgement to determine when an outcome is established across major outlets, but provides an official fallback to the Federal Election Commission if any ambiguity arises. The rules clearly define how independent or third-party candidates are categorized by looking at their stated caucus intent at the time all House races are called, making surprise outcomes unlikely.
